Robert “Bob” Douglas Bourque

Robert “Bob” Douglas Bourque

August 12, 1958 – February 26, 2019

Robert “Bob” Douglas Bourque passed away February 26, 2019 at age 60 from a battle with cancer. He was born August 12, 1958 to Joseph and Barbara Bourque in Barstow, California, though he would say his real life began when he dedicated his life to the Lord on Easter Sunday 1984. Bob graduated from Weber High and served in the Navy from 1976-1979. He was married to the love of his life Cindy (Koon) for 35 years. Together they built an amazing life and Bob had his fill of the things he loved most: spending time with family and friends, whether it was fishing, camping, four wheeling or traveling. He worked as an Electrical Engineer Tech at Hill Air Force Base and was able to retire after 30 years as a civilian servant. He was always willing to help anyone and could fix just about anything. He would jokingly say he was the “total package.” Bob’s first and greatest love was for his Lord and Savior Jesus.  He would share his love of Jesus with anyone and everyone who would listen. He is survived by his wife Cindy, his parents Joseph and Barbara Bourque, and brother James Bourque; his children Ryan (Jamie) Byrns, Scott (Angie) Alsup, Michael (Sara) Alsup, Brooke (Dar) Nelson, Jessica (Ryan) Trump; Grey his best furry friend who will miss him so much; his 10 grandchildren that he loved and adored: Tyler, Abby, David, Emma, Robert, Riley, Wyatt, Colby, Harper and Mavis, along with many dear friends of his spiritual family.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Rd, Layton, Utah. The internment will be held at West Point City Cemetery following the service.

Our hearts are sad for you Cindy… I honestly don’t know what I would do without Chris in my life… Bob will always be remembered by his very warm smile and witty sense of humor but most of all he was the one the Lord used to re marry Chris and I and that we will always be so grateful for… I know you will hear this a lot in the next several weeks but if you or any of the family need anything please please please call us we love all of you so much!

Barb, Joe, James, and family. I’m so sorry for the loss of this blessed man. I’m also sorry that I live so far away, and really never had the opportunity to get to know him. He sounds like a true servant of God., and is probably enjoying all the pleasures of worshipping God in person. My heart goes out to all of you, knowing you will miss him so much. He was a very good looking man. Last time I saw him he was just a baby. You all are in my prayers. Hugs
