Christina Korakis Clark Pappas
1/31/1927-10/19/2016
Christina our loving and devoted mother and grandmother, sister, aunt and friend left this world peacefully Wednesday, October 19, 2016. She is survived by her Daughter Pamela and Grandsons; Shane, Cory and Brandon, sisters, nephews and nieces.
Christina was born January 31, 1927, in the midst of a blizzard by midwife to Louis Korakis and Stella Frankos Korakis. She was the seventh of eight children born in Magna, Utah. Both of Christina’s parents emigrated from Greece to make a better life for them, her father immigrating first and settling in Magna, Utah; then sent for a proxy bride, Stella, to start their family as many of the Greek immigrants did.
She was born and raised Greek Orthodox in their family home in Magna and attended Cypress High School. Christina met and married Wayne Clark where they married in Las Vegas, one of her most favorite places to visit; then moved to California for several years with Wayne until his untimely passing. She moved back to Utah where she met her 2nd husband George Pappas, they had one daughter together and divorced later.
Christina was devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed being involved in Church, auxiliaries and functions. Her favorite pass time was being involved with her family helping and being there in all ways she possibly could. She made great friendships throughout life, many that felt she was part of their family and they part of ours. She always looked forward to her social group and friends she made while working at Costco as a demo lady. She enjoyed her home, gardening and taking care of a multitude of pets throughout her life.
Christina being a strong lady all throughout life endured obstacles and hardships even being called a “miracle lady” overcoming a severe illness in her middle years. Her Love, Devotion and Strength was known to all that knew her and is what we all felt and will carry with us in her memory and pass through to her future generations.
Viewing services will be held Monday October 24, 2016 at 6:00 pm through 8:00 pm at Holy Trinity Greek Cathedral, 279 south 300 West, SLC with Trisagion Service at 7:00 pm. Pam and family: I am so very sorry for your loss. I know from the recent passing of my dad how very hard it is to say goodbye to a wonderful parent. My prayers are with you and your family during this challenging time. Love you Pam … ????

Chris was a wonderful, sweet lady. She was an excellent companion to my grandmother and grandfather as well as my mom and aunt in their later years. My kids loved her and especially her stories about her beloved Footy. She will be sorely missed. Sending love.
